MORE FROM THE GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS

The image above is a straight B&W conversion, no other effects added other than converting the original RAW image.  As always, I used SILVER EFEX PRO 2 by NIK SOFTWARE

This second version includes a "coffee filter" application also part of SILVER EFEX PRO 2.

And last but certainly not least, this version is based on the original Black and White, but I have also added 2 more filters to it to give it a different "moody feeling". I applied a soft focus filter (diffusing) and also a moderate dark vignetting to contribute to the overall feeling of the image.

You take your pick which rendition you like the most. Truth is that photography is an art and as such there is much freedom as what you can do with your images. I personally like bold, contrasty images that make a definite statement, and yet, having said that, there are many times when I feel like expressing something totally different and I choose to convey what I saw through a soft, light and/or almost high key image. It all depends even on the way the image was captured. This is part of the beauty of this great art called photography.

I hopre everyone is doing well and shooting your favorite scenes or discovering new places.
I will be traveling this entire week starting tomorrow so I will no be posting anything until I return on Friday. So have a great week everyone, keep shooting and enjoy it!

As always, thanks for stopping by and looking, I appreciate your visits and comments.
